Scope and Contents

A scrapbook album containing prints of various sizes by various photographers. The majority of the prints are captioned in Bell's hand. They relate to his period as Governor of the Leeward Islands, which ended in 1915; visits to England and South Africa; and, from plate 33 onwards, his Governorship of Mauritius, to which he was appointed in 1915.

Scope and Contents A collection of loose prints of various sizes (mainly snapshots) by various photographers. The prints are largely uncaptioned and are mainly duplicates of prints in the other parts of the collection. The prints have been grouped chronologically thus: Uganda (1-47), Northern Nigeria (49-68), Caribbean (69-88), Mauritius (89-111), miscellaneous (112-117).
